Hello, i think the collection feature is great, login in wiki et see it a :

but i think that people who want to use it, had to create an account in
wiki, so many account will be created only to collect wiki page..........

focus on Single Sign-On but i think the Openid extension for mediawiki
(http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:OpenID) will do great job on it
and may simplify life ok wiki users (like me btw)
