Some of the chapters of the 2.x Writer Guide (Ch7 on) on the wiki are
still attached to an old type of chapter contents template, because no
one ever got around to changing them over to the new template.
I just noticed that the text on those pages is displaying in a narrow
column below the contents sidebar instead of to the left of it, as it
should -- weird! I don't know when this behaviour began, but I suspect
it was during some of the recent upgrades and other changes to the wiki.
It's easy enough to fix, so I'll try to find the time to do it soon. I
haven't yet checked to see what other pages, if any, are still using
that old-style template. I hope it's not many! :-)
This showed up in a few places. It's caused by a missing closing div
tag in the TOC. The missing </div> was ignored in the previous MW
version, but in the new one, the missing tag causes the problems you've
noticed. Adding the missing </div> fixes things.
Thanks, Clayton.
I found that many of the pages in those chapters needed other minor fixes, so
I've gone ahead with updating the chapter contents templates and making
related changes on the pages of the chapter, all of which has the added
benefit of making the sidebar style consistent through the Writer Guide.
