Bringing everyone up to date with what I've been doing...
OOo3 Impress Guide
The first edition of the Impress Guide is now "published", even though
it still needs more review, editing, and indexing. Individual chapters
and a compiled book are on the OOoAuthors website (ODT and PDF), the
Documentation Project website (PDF), and the Documentation wiki. I don't
plan to work on a printed copy any time soon, because I have
higher-priority things to do and the V2 Impress Guide hasn't sold many
copies (in contrast to Getting Started and Writer Guide).
OOo3 Calc Guide
I've started working on the Calc Guide again. Five chapters are now in
the most recent template and have been updated (where needed) for OOo3;
they have all been submitted for review. I plan to put those chapters on
the wiki as well, unless someone else does it first. (Please tell the
list if you're going to do that, so we don't duplicate effort.)
I'll keep plugging away at the other chapters when I have the time and
energy. Some need major updates (scrappy drafts are in the Draft
folder), while others should need only minor updates in addition to
being put into the V3 temmplate. Note that Chapter 7, Data analysis
(using scenarios, goal seek, solver, others), is still desperately
seeking someone to write a first draft. Chapter 3 and 4 need serious
help too.
A reminder that from Monday (Australian time) I'll be away until the end
of February. Touring the South Island of New Zealand. Haven't been there
for, oh my, over 30 years, despite several trips to the North Island.
Internet access will be limited; interest in OOo-related work less so.
