I don't know if any of you noticed it yet... I've managed to install the
FlaggedRevs extension into the OOoWiki.
Documentation for this extension is found here:
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Extension:FlaggedRevs
It still needs a little tweaking on the options, but we can start using
it already.
What is FlaggedRevs? It's an extension to the Wiki that allows everyone
to flag a wiki page as reviewed. Any change to that page marks it again
as draft, ready for review.
The most current revision is always shown. An icon and link on the top
right of the page shows up when the page is in a draft or unreviewed
state. I'm looking into it to see if a Reviewed icon can also be
displayed so that Users can see at a glance if the page has been validated.
There are several reports available in the Special pages section (under
the heading Quality assurance.
If you have reviewer status, you will see a new box at the bottom of any
page that is in a Draft or Unreviewed state.
I still have to tweak the settings for who has reviewer/editor rights...
for now I have to assign that right manually. I can set it so that any
user who has made a certain number of edits etc. has reviewer/editor
rights... (called Autopromotion). I haven't got that far in the options yet.
So, we can play with this extension - I'll announce it to the rest of
the Wiki editing community in a few days (after we've had a chance to
play a bit, and I've finished tweaking the initial settings).
If you don't have editor access, let me know, and I'll add you to the list.
