Good afternoon, I stumbled upon OpenOffice.org while browsing a technical writing website.
I would like contribute to creating HOW-Tos or Tutorials, but would like to obtain more information on doing so. My name is Teodoro Ramirez, and I am a graduate of California State University, Northridge with a B.S. in Business Administration. I am currently an employee at Harbor Freight Tools working in the Marketing department. I was given the task of leading the creation of a Marketing Policies and Procedures project. It is basically a User Guide on all the procedures that the Marketing department performs. My task includes creating a table of contents, working with the various employees within the department in creating their procedures, editing all the procedures, and compiling the whole project - It is yet to be finished. As I began creating and editing documentations, technical writing became interesting! I am interested in a career in technical writing, and that is why I am here writing this e-mail. I would like more experience in technical writing, and I believe this is a great place for me to gain experience while contributing to OpenOffice.org!
