I don't think we have a clear way of handling version specific info other than simply typing into the text "Applies to OpenOffice.org version x.y.z". This would be something we could maybe handle with a template? I looked through the bug reports and didn't find much related to this FAQ subject. Does anyone here have OOo2.x or OOo3.0 installed and can test this?
