Hi Clayton
I just tried it by sharing on twitter and facebook and the share was
successful. The only thing is once you've shared the wiki pages gives you a
pop up box inviting the sharer to download something to make it easier to
share using IE, whether it would do that if you were using another browser I
don't know as I only have IE. Anyway, I just exited the box when I got it,
but we need someone with another browser to test it too.
You use IE? Wow.. you're a rebel :-) Most people I know have left that
broken browser far far behind.
You do get a thing promoting AddThis extensions for other browsers that
support addons/extensions. There is a link to opt out of promotions at
the bottom of the box, and you can close/ignore it as well.
I've been thinking about this, and it may be best to roll this into a
template instead of pasting all that messy text for the widget into
pages we may want to use something like this with... so... I made the
Template
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Template:AddThis
and can be inserted into a page using {{AddThis}} and the button will
show up at the point where the Template call is added.
