I've just done a quick-and-dirty test of converting some of the user guide chapters to ePub format, using Calibre and all its default settings, then viewing the result in Calibre's own viewer.
The ePubs came out better than I expected, but they definitely need some tweaking, especially regarding tables and figures. Some tweaks can probably be done in the conversion settings, but others may require some modification to the source ODT files.
