Meeting minutes 31 October 2017:
Attendees:
Aman, Arina, Boaz, Gautam, Karthik, Rob, Padma, Parth, Paul, Prasad, Pritesh,
Sorabh, Tim, Vlad, Vova
This is the draft of the meeting notes I remember:
Gitbox:
* Provide write access to github repo
* Provide fine grain controlled on the process like Squashing/Merging can
be disabled and only (Rebase and Merge) is enabled
* Can close the pull request directly from Github rather than commenting
explicitly on PR to close the JIRA.
* Can help to fasten the current process of having just 1 batch commit per
week.
* One merged PR affecting another open PR functional test run won't be
catched right away, since each commit is independent with other one. Someone
has to manually rebase next PR with previous merges and then update PR to
trigger Functional tests. But looks like this is anyway done manually today and
can be put in documentation.
Follow-Ups:
==========
* Vote on Vlad’s original email which Parth will forward.
* Update the docs based on change in the merge process to describe new
workflow.
* Community or reviewer can decide whether to squash the commits or
not
* Before Rebase & Merge all the Travis and Jenkins checks should pass.
* Committer should ensure the functional tests are passing on latest
master before merging any commit.
Unit Tests Presentation:
* Moved to next week hangout because of some technical issues with Tim's
microphone.
Apache Release 1.12:
* Cut-Off date is planned to be on Mid November.
“how to get started debugging”:
* Matthew was not on the call. Probably will be discussed next week.
Thanks,
Sorabh

Hello All,
Can anyone please share some information on “how to get started debugging”. I’m
a new member and want myself to get involved in this project. Any help is
highly appreciated.
Thanks
Karthik
