Hi Igor & Charles,

Just my two cents. In years past we tried to do a release every three months
using the "train model": those features that are ready are shipped, others wait
for the next release. Not so bad if the delay is 3 months. Once the delay gets
to be 6  months, everyone (rightly) wants their features in, and the release
becomes hard to manage.

Seems good to set a goal of a release per quarter. If we can't do it for
whatever reason, we can deal with that as an exception.

The key risk is that we do need a cluster to run the full test suite. MapR has
kindly provided that cluster, and continues to do so. We will need to do
something different if things change.

Thanks,
- Paul

 Hello Charles,

Thank you very much for gathering all the information necessary for the
report. Everything looks good for me except one thing I'm not sure about. I
have some doubts about the new planned release date, seems not very
realistic to me at the moment. I'm not a manager but I think it could be
useful to have a clear documented release strategy and define an
approximate list of features&fixes to be included. Sorry if it is not
purely related to the board report topic, I just shared my thoughts.

Thanks,
Igor
