We currently use ZK to store things like plugin configs, dynamic UDFS, etc. Charles just asked about the problems storing credentials that way. I wonder if the DB support here is (or can be) generalized to allow a variety of stores (the way we have multiple "pstores" for ZK.) If so, then, over time, we could implement alternative, DB-based "pstores" for plugins, UDFs, security credentials and more.
