# [DRILL-8163](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-8163): Increment the Drill version number to 2.0.0-SNAPSHOT ## Description Update all poms from 1.21.0-SNAPSHOT to 2.0.0-SNAPSHOT, where the 2.0 project is a small, judiciously chosen subset of https://github.com/apache/drill/wiki/Drill-2.0-Proposal and a lot of cleaning out of cruft. This proposal is _not_ an ambitious one that rewrites everything, but a (fairly) modest one that uses the opportunity to drop deprecated baggage and reorganise in some areas to get the house in order for the ongoing pursuit of ambitious projects. ## Documentation Increment version numbers in docs on release of 2.0. ## Testing N/A -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
