Hi all,

I'd like to propose the first release of Apache Drill MCP, version 0.1.0.
Drill MCP is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for Apache Drill. It
lets MCP clients run SQL against a Drill cluster and inspect its schemas,
storage plugins and query state. Statements are checked by a SQL parser
before they run: reads are permitted, and writes are refused unless an
operator allowlists the target plugin.

The release candidate is staged here:
  https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/drill/drill-mcp-0.1.0-rc1/

  It contains:
  - apache-drill-mcp-0.1.0-src.tar.gz (the source release)
  - drill_mcp-0.1.0.tar.gz and drill_mcp-0.1.0-py3-none-any.whl (Python
packages to be published to PyPI as convenience binaries once the vote
    passes)

Each file has a .asc signature and a .sha512 checksum.

  Git tag: v0.1.0-rc1
  https://github.com/apache/drill-mcp/releases/tag/v0.1.0-rc1
  Commit: 9fb298149cee570b80fff8348256572c81685434

  SHA-512 of the source release:

0115cd47cccba74de710152c9c35ee1ccaae2738d63c655ba57a65105064b5fb840924eecae85e13aa7face5b55c7c532aad27469bc499b28014ec83fe1c2704

The release is signed with key 8B16AED8368B73FCD189DEE469ECD3AE3521879B,
which is in the Drill KEYS file:
  https://downloads.apache.org/drill/KEYS

To verify, import the KEYS file, download the staged directory, and run the
verify script from the repository. It checks every signature and
checksum, confirms LICENSE and NOTICE are present, and runs the test suite
from the source release (requires gpg and uv):

  curl https://downloads.apache.org/drill/KEYS | gpg --import
  svn export https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/drill/drill-mcp-0.1.0-rc1
  dev-support/release/verify-release.sh drill-mcp-0.1.0-rc1
The builds are reproducible: building the tag with
dev-support/release/prepare-release.sh 1 produces byte-identical sdist and
wheel.

The vote will be open for at least 72 hours.

[ ] +1 Release this package as Apache Drill MCP 0.1.0
  [ ] +0 No opinion
[ ] -1 Do not release this package because...

  Here's my +1.

  Thanks,
  Charles
