Hi Hao Chen & Edward Zhange Thanks for the reply on 03/19/2019 about my query with subject "Apache Eagle GUI, operation issues ; unable to define Policy"
As I reported, I can successfully compile Eagle 0.50 and Launch Eagle ( bin/eagle-server.sh start). . I have new HDP 2.6 cluster running with normal Ambari based GUI. I can define sites, application using Eagle's we b interface but can not define the policy. I have set up HWP 2.6 Cluster using 10 nodes. It is running Ambari , with HDFS, YARN, Hove, HBase, Pig, Ranger, Zookeeper , Kafka broker etc. I populated with HDFS data and soon plan to populate with Hive Sample Data at <IP_addres>s:8080. At the Eagle <P_address>:9090, I have added application Juno ( per http://eagle.apache.org/docs/latest/using-eagle<http://eagle.apache.org/docs/latest/using-eagle/> ) HDFS_audit_log monitor. However not able to define the policy. Do I need to install and Kafka, Logstash as per the following two references ? https://github.com/eBay/Eagle/blob/master/eagle-assembly/src/main/docs/how-to-install-kafka-log4j-into-namenode.md https://eagle.apache.org/docs/import-hdfs-auditLog.html I have attached the screen shot of the "Define Policy" . I am not sure how to populate. The apply button remain sgreye dout. Is it possible to have web conference using webex ? I plan to be on vacation and returning back on April 2nd Thank you very much Tushar Shah [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [cid:[email protected]]
