Hi Dave, This is generated by the stale robot[1] which will add a comment to notice the user this issue will be closed soon for inactivity. It will be closed by the robot if no one comments within another week.
The config file can be found here [2]. To be brief, it will set stale to issues that hasn't been active for more than 2 years and do not have "maybe-later" or "priority: high" labels on it. Issues that haven't been active for two years are considered as stale because either the version they are using are too old to consider or authors are no longer concerning the problem. So by closing it automatically by a robot, we can keep focusing on the rest issues. But we do give a warning comment in case it should not be closed.
