Hello,

My name is Will Wright, and I’m a web developer and engineer at the Atlanta
Regional Commission. I have loved using Apache ECharts for data visualizations
and always get good feedback when I’ve used it in the past for visualizations.
Thank you for all the hard work your team has put into making an amazing data
visualization library!

I do have a feature request. I would like to be able to create an ECharts
choropleth map, such as the demo map of Hong Kong population density found
here<https://echarts.apache.org/examples/en/editor.html?c=map-HK>, but then
have the ability to add an XYZ tile layer as a basemap, such as those from
CartoDB<https://carto.com/basemaps>. This would greatly enhance ECharts’
already amazing data visualizations. Is this possible, or is this feature on
the roadmap for future development?

Thank you kindly!

Will Wright
