Hi Jan, the log4j version is 1.7.26 which is from Feb, 2019.
For obvious reasons I would not recommend going on the 2.x branch. Besides its not that easy as we'd have to find a replacement for the org.apache.log4j.xml.DOMConfigurator. I think the 1.x branch is fine, but I will update the dependency to the latest 1.7.32. Is that OK for you?
