no .. QA process for localized builds is not handled by
Sun. It's a little confusing, why sun is providing payed
support for the 10 localizations but not doing QA .. but
 it's actually the fact.

QA for localized builds is in the hands of the community
(it's the same for german "localization", even if GErman
 is second OOo development language).

So, what you should do is to go through the manual /
automated tests. For manual testing, you may use the smoke
 tests:
http://qa.openoffice.org/testcase/index.html (but be aware,
that the test cases have not been updated to 2.0 so some
 descriptions are not valid anymore).

You may also use TCM:
http://l10n.openoffice.org/localization/About_TCM.html
TCM's focus is mor on long-term localization quality
 estimation.

If you like to run automated tests, ask at [EMAIL PROTECTED], if you
have troubles. Automated tests are helpfull to reduze time
for testing (e.g. you could skip all manual file open/save
tests, as this is done by automated test scripts).

You don't need to run all the tests and not all need to be
passed perfect. But at least you should be shure, that
your localized version is stable and well-translated for
 end users.

If this is the case, you could give a "GO".

Hope, this answers your questions.

andré
