We need to return information about the error condition in a way that is allowed under the proper HTTP response code. I'm not quite sure how to do this. I don't think the S.?() approach will work. We need to spend some time looking into the newer Lift REST features and see if there is a good way to do it built in to Lift or if we need to come up with something ourselves.
