Yesterday we put Event 1.0 up on the servers, ready for download. The
release doesn't have a lot of docs, but those familiar with the
Excalibur package should be able to adapt fairly quickly. You can get
the binary from http://dist.d-haven.org/event/ and you can browse the
API docs at http://api.d-haven.org/event/.

I don't have anything fancy at the moment, it just works. I have tested
it using both util.concurrent-1.3.3 and util.concurrent-1.3.4.

All in all the package should be well tested and easier to use and
maintain. We have 100% coverage in the tests, and as much code
duplication as IDEA could find has been eliminated (very nice feature
of the 4.1 development series).

As a side note, the http://dist.d-haven.org/ site is organized just
like the Maven style repositories. That way you can download Dojo,
Event, etc. using Maven, or whatever repository friendly system you
have.

I am still in the process of putting together some site docs, so I
will have that ready as soon as I can. The question now becomes
whether we want to incorporate it into the next release of Fortress.
Hopefully it will make Fortress even more robust.

I have not done the MPool portion of the system at this time, because
I was planning on doing that as a separate package. Since Fortress
uses MPool for the component pool management, we may want to wait
before adopting D-Haven Event.

Lastly, I am open to suggestions for organizing/reorganizing the
distribution site.
