Ant or maven?

Right now, we have an ant-1.6-based customized build system in place that works to some extent, and a maven-1.0-RC1-based customized build system in place that also works to some extent (neither is currently fully set up to my satisfaction). Next to this we have an unused gump+ant customized ant build system (the gump-build.xml files) that is currently unused.
One can debate for eons about the pros and cons of a buildsystem choice (and many have), and not reach a conclusion. Let's not.
Procedure
---------
this'll be majority voting, because there's basically two reasonably workable options (ant and maven). Please vote your preference.
Alternatively, scream and shout and call this vote premature and not according to procedure and we'll discuss the procedure first :-D.
