Janarthanan created FALCON-1303:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Falcon build - packaging ooze deleted the target folder
content
                 Key: FALCON-1303
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FALCON-1303
             Project: Falcon
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Janarthanan
            Priority: Critical

I have built the falcon and was able to start it following the
installation_steps.txt.

Now that, there is one more section to build and deploy, below command was
given to package hadoop & ooze.

When I executed the command, all the contents on **/target folder got deleted.
It had the cluster specification xml field and few other programs i have
copied.

Please let me know the reason for packaging hadoop & ooze. I can see the
packaging again starts the build from scratch. Am I going wrong in packaging
the ooze at this time ?

Command :

Preparing Oozie and Falcon packages for deployment

cd <<project home>>
src/bin/package.sh <<hadoop-version>> <<oozie-version>>

What is the project home mentioned here ? Is it the falcon source folder or any
other folder ?

Execution log:
