Few issues:
1. Thread.sleep is too long (5 secs)
2. Code indentations are not consistent
3. Print stack trace to System.err instead of logger
4. Message logging & exception throw present. This is highly likely to
duplicate the error message in the log file.
Uploading revised patch with fixes.
