I spent considerable time refactoring the internals of the ServiceImpl and
various dependencies. A new strategy of dealing with state changes and their
consequences was implemented. This is a pretty big change that needs lots of
testing (still working on that, if you currently use the dependency manager,
try building a version and drop it in your existing project and let me know if
it works).
