Well, it sounds like the original request was to do (2), which is much simpler.
However, in order to support fragments, I think we need to refactor our bundle
cache approach since it currently assumes that a bundle is self-contained and
fragments break that abstraction. I am going to try to put some thought into
re-working the caching API so that it will work for fragments and I will keep
this requirement in mind too.
