Is there some automatic way that we can have the news section of our

Semi-automatic. :)
The home page now includes what is called the excerpt of the news page.
If you look at the news page, you see the {excerpt} section now spans
all news items (except the last one).
So, simply move the {excerpt} scope to define what gets included on
the homepage.
Subsequently, make sure to regenerate the site, as the auto exporter
plugin is not smart enough to deduce that if you change the news page,
the home page should change too.
Regenerating requires confluence admin permissions (which again, is a
limitation of the auto exporter plugin).
Ok, good to know. I modified the scope for now to only show items from
2008, but we will have to keep sliding this window...not sure which
measure we should use.
Since I don't have admin permissions in Confluence, I guess someone else
will have to regenerate the main page...
Thanks.
