Richard S. Hall commented on FELIX-963: --------------------------------------- No matter how we organize the web site, some links will only be accessible "buried deep inside some other pages", since that is the hierarchical nature of the information presented. Not everything can be at the top. Regardless, it does appear that some people find it confusing that all categories of Felix documentation are available (and described) under the documentation link. Our current plan is to raise the visibility of our subprojects, so people will be able to easily find the subproject of interest in order to poke around and find related documentation. In the end, though, it will still require people to poke around, unless we add a search bar too. I have linked this issue to FELIX-896 so the previous discussion on this topic is easily visible. > Website needs better means for navigation > ----------------------------------------- > > Key: FELIX-963 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-963 > Project: Felix > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Documentation > Reporter: Michael Dürig > > Browsing the documentation on the web-site is difficult. Some pages seem to > be accessible only from within links buried deep inside some other pages (if > at all). For example: > http://felix.apache.org/site/apache-felix-osgi-bundle-repository.html > http://felix.apache.org/site/apache-felix-maven-bundle-plugin-bnd.html > I originally found these pages via Google searches. Still I can't find them > navigating the web site. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA. - You can reply to this email to add a comment to the issue online.
