karaf shell script may fail to start when CDPATH is set (on POSIX shells)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: FELIX-1410
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FELIX-1410
Project: Felix
Issue Type: Bug
Environment: POSIX shells - found with bash on Ubuntu
Reporter: Greg Lucas
Priority: Trivial
Found with ServiceMix (https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/SM-1879); the
same issue applies to Karaf. On POSIX compliant shells, 'cd' may print to
stdout when a nonempty directory name from the CDPATH environment variable is
used successfully. The karaf startup script uses 'cd' output to set KARAF_HOME
and the extra output can cause a startup error.
