First of all I would like to say that this is for the Bundles plugin explicitly.
So my suggestion is:
1. to remove the file browser + install button
2. instead of 1) add a filter box like in the attached screen shot
3. modify install/update button to pop-up a dialog instead of opening new page;
the content of the dialog will be same as the new page, that is currently
opened.
