I'm definitly interested in this Scala stuff, too. Now, the question is how do we get this going?
One way would be to go through incubation and see if a community forms around the idea...and so on...and later on accept it as a sub project. Now there are no IP problems etc as the code is already there in our svn. Another alternative would be to give interested people access to our sandbox/whiteboard.
