Update felix examples to use a more recent version of Felix

I'm trying to embed felix into my application and I'd like to do something
similar to what I find in this example:
http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/felix/trunk/examples/servicebased.host/src/main/java/org/apache/felix/example/servicebased/host/Activator.java?view=markup
but it is using felix 1.8.0 and directly depends on classes which no longer
exist in felix 3.2.2. Would it be possible for these examples to be updated to
a more recent version of felix?
