Unexpected warning when using bnd-ipojo-plugin

When I declare a component with the annotation @Component and I declare the
instance in a metadata.xml file (not the component), I'm getting the following
warning for each compenent type:
[WARNING] Bundle org.jdoe:foo:bundle:2.0.0-SNAPSHOT : The component type
org.jdoe.FooComponent is duplicated.
