The framework currently supports Java platform definitions up to Java 8 but is
lacking Java 9 definitions:

This results in the framework not properly setting up on Java 9 platforms.
Maybe we could create an interim definition based on the Java 8 definitions and
update the exports once the Java 9 platform API stabilizes?
See also FELIX-3786 (definitions for Java 8). It appears that FELIX-3792 never
got fixed. Perhaps no update is needed for 8?
