Description:
After this commit the karaf build always hangs for me:

I build using mvn 3.3.9 using:
mvn clean install -Pfastinstall
This is the build log I get:

Unfortunately the hang does not seem to happen on all environments. We were not
able to reproduce this on jenkins or on JBs machine. It always hangs on my
machine though. I also tried to delete my maven repo to check it is not a bad
repo problem.
After a long time I get the error in the log:
GC overhead limit exceeded
