I recently opened an issue against a SNAPSHOT version of Framework (FELIX-5751)
that I had obtained from the Apache Snapshots Maven repository. It was actually
quite difficult to find out precise version information from the framework JAR
file beyond {{Bundle-Version: 5.7.0.SNAPSHOT}}. The best I could find was a
build timestamp in {{META-INF/maven/.../pom.properties}}.
For bug reporting purposes it would be very helpful to include a manifest
header in every JAR to reflect the current Subversion revision, tags etc. In
bnd(tools) we have done this for a long time with a Git-Descriptor header. Also
the new standard Bundle-SCM header could be used.
