bar support in felix fileinstall?

Apologies for being out of date, but some months ago there was a 
proposal (from Neil Bartlett I think) to add bundle archive (bar) 
support to Apache Felix fileinstall.  Did that ever make it into 
fileinstall?

If so, is there some usage documentation available for it?
