Hi all, We are withdrawing the release candidate #3 of Apache Fesod (Incubating) version 2.1.0-incubating. The vote on this candidate is hereby closed as canceled.
Reason ------ During review, PJ Fanning found a licensing/NOTICE compliance issue in the Maven staging repository. The fesod-sheet-2.1.0-incubating.jar contains a NOTICE file that reads: Fesod Spreadsheet Copyright 2025-2026 The Apache Software Foundation This product includes software developed at The Apache Software Foundation (http://www.apache.org/). As PJ pointed out in https://github.com/apache/fesod/issues/1064, this is not correct: the product name should be "Apache Fesod (Incubating) Spreadsheet", and the NOTICE must also mention Alibaba, because the code derives from Alibaba EasyExcel (see https://github.com/apache/fesod/blob/main/NOTICE). Because the NOTICE in the published artifact does not comply with ASF/Incubator requirements and omits the required attribution of the original source, we consider this release-blocking and withdraw the RC3 vote. Next steps ---------- We will correct the NOTICE in fesod-sheet so that it uses "Apache Fesod (Incubating) Spreadsheet" and attributes Alibaba EasyExcel as required, verify the NOTICE in all other modules, rerun the full test suite, and prepare a corrected release candidate (RC4) with the source archives rebuilt from the new tag and re-signed/re-checksummed.
