Hi Kumaranath, I like the fact you are willing to take this up, but don't feel pushed.
You are an intern as part of the GSOC project and it is not your business to help others in the community to save money by using an intern to do a job a professional member of the community is able to do too. I'm sure others can jump on that too, providing some help as part of their participation in this project.
