Hi Fineracters, The next monthly Apache board meeting is coming up. After this meeting Fineract will have been out of incubation for 3 months. In the first 3 months as a TLP Apache projects are required to perform monthly reporting. After that we shift to quarterly reporting. So our next board report after this one will be due in October.
In the past, I've asked you all to contribute a short description of your activities to the report. I didn't feel it fair to you, for me to describe what you are doing. Because I haven't gotten any response (and hence the report has been rather spare), this time I've gone through the mailing list and the repository and picked out a few highlights. In particular I've put together a random selection of the feature work that has reached the repository, and I've checked over our responsiveness in the repository. I believe that we are doing rather well at keeping up with our Jira tickets, but we're doing a poor job responding to pull requests. That may be part of the reason our community is not growing. Whatever the reason, the lack of growth means that we have several functions fulfilled by a single person. This is dangerous for the community. For example if Nazeer wins the lottery and decides to teach surfing lessons in Australia, nobody will be merging pull requests at all anymore. I will report it this way to the board; I don't expect the board will do anything about this, because that is our job. Again: We have a lack of community growth and a lack of diversification in the community which endangers our project. In any case, please check over the board report and add anything that you find relevant: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/FINERACT/2017-07+July+Report Best Regards, Myrle Krantz V.P., Apache Fineract
