HI Shakyta, Seems that the line 38 of your server.xml file is not being read as part of the lines 36 & 37. Causing the error
SEVERE: Parse Fatal Error at line 38 column 67: The string "--" is not permitted within comments.. For having a working secure layer (using a self signed certificate running) in Windows run this command. "%JAVA_HOME%\bin\keytool" -genkey -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA In that way the secure port 443 (or 8443) will have the certificate in place and could work the secure http connections.
