Zayyad, which version of Fineract are you running? Is it the 1.2 version or
later? With 1.2 onward MySQL 5.7 is supported.

I realize you might be waiting on the next Mifos X release which built on
top of latest version of Fineract. That will be replaced very soon as we
have one more ticket to fix and merge.
