I completely agree with your suggestion. Keeping old, inactive tickets open for years doesn’t benefit the project, and a fresh start sounds like a great idea. Closing tickets that haven’t received attention in over three months while keeping recent ones active seems like a reasonable approach. Using a status like “abandoned” could also help us track ideas that might still be useful in the future.
