I can raise this topic with the Conference Organizers - (or feel free to
reach out yourself again - I'd suggest the slack channel for
the conference).

To be clear, the ASF does not get involved in any visa or travel issues.
Those are the responsibility of the participant.

I do not know how to advise anyone beyond that, except to say, listen to
the authorities in your country of origin about whether or not it is
advisable to travel to any location.  We will add content to a wiki page to
help people learn more - and I'll update that and this listserv if I learn
anything.
