Hello James,

I'm familiar with the Apache Software Foundation, but I haven’t previously
contributed to open-source projects. I’m currently getting acquainted with the
architecture and code of the Fineract project—I’ve just reviewed the Client and
Charge modules and have already learned a lot from them. For example, I noticed
the use of the Builder Pattern to create CommandSource objects. The work
being done by the community is truly impressive!

In China, many banking institutions are state-owned or central
government-backed, and they tend to have very few open-source contributors.
Their technology stacks are often relatively older, with a stronger emphasis on
stability. That’s why I’m especially excited to join the Fineract community.
Although I haven’t made any contributions yet, I’m actively following along and
learning.
Looking forward to engaging more with the community!
Chen Fan

Chen Fan - Are you familiar with the ASF (apache software foundation)? The
ASF is very engaged in China and holds conferences in the Asian region.

You can find out more about ASF on our links. A key thing that is different is
that we ask our contributors to represent themselves rather than their
companies.
"Wearing your ASF hat" is how we speak about it. / Vendor independence.

We welcome your contributions, and hope that your work enables you to
contribute to this open source project. We believe that remaining upstream on
the code is a better strategy for the users.
We want to understand how we can make that happen. So, I hope that if you are
bringing Fineract to the Bank, you can bring your contributions back here,
enabling a virtuous cycle.

I would anticipate that a payments and banking team at a prominent bank could
be a significant set of requirements - happy to discuss further.

Thanks,

Welcome Chen Fan! Love to hear from you soon!

It's fantastic that our community is expanding to China! You're the first one
to raise your hand and are willing to contribute, for sure others will come
and, hopefully we can host a Fineract track at the Community Over Code Asia :)

Best,
Javier

Hello every one,! I'm Chen Fan. I am engaged in the development of core banking
payment systems at China Construction Bank. I have thoroughly and carefully
read through the relevant development documentation of Fineract, and have also
carefully reviewed the code for the loan and deposit-related modules of
Fineract. I sincerely hope to make some contributions to the code development
of the Fineract project, and I look forward to the community's approval of my
apply for jira account.
I am also confused that jira not approve my application for the jira account to
fineract project, is there any other qualifications or step should i provide to
the community? Besides, i am a fresher to contribute to open source
projects, need your help thanks very much !!!
