Hi Ambika, Thanks for your introduction and sharing the details.
I’ll try to answer a few of your questions: What stories are available for work? Beginner-friendly stories: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-2450?jql=project%3D%22Apache%20Fineract%22%20AND%20labels%3D%22beginner-friendly%22%20ORDER%20BY%20createdDate <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-2450?jql=project%20%3D%20%22Apache%20Fineract%22%20AND%20labels%20%3D%20beginner-friendly%20ORDER%20BY%20createdDate> GSOC 2026-tagged stories: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-2451?jql=project%20%3D%22Apache%20Fineract%22%20AND%20labels%3D%22gsoc2026%22%20ORDER%20BY%20createdDate <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-2451?jql=project%20%3D%20%22Apache%20Fineract%22%20AND%20labels%20%3D%20gsoc2026%20ORDER%20BY%20createdDate> The first list contains smaller, easier tasks, while the second list focuses on design and seeking proposals. FINERACT-2451 https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-2451 I’ve closed this story because it’s clearly a UI-related issue. The WEBAPP project, which is typically used as the UI for Fineract, is maintained by Mifos, while Fineract itself is maintained by Apache. They have their own JIRA board and repository, so we should avoid creating stories in the FINERACT Jira, which belongs to the WEBAPP Jira! TLDR: Fineract (backend!) related stories: https://issues.apache.org/jira/projects/FINERACT/issues Webapp (UI) related stories: https://mifosforge.jira.com/jira/software/c/projects/WEB/boards/62 Regards, Adam > On Jan 26, 2026, at 7:43 AM, Ambika <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hello Fineract Community, > > My name is Ambika Sony, a 3rd-year B.Tech CSE student at Gandhi Engineering > College.
