Hi Adam, My name is Ali Mahmood Rana and I am a developer interested in contributing to Apache Fineract for Google Summer of Code 2026, targeting FINERACT-2440 (Front End Application MVP).
Aira Jena suggested I reach out to you directly regarding WCAG accessibility contrast fixes on fineract.apache.org (apache/fineract-site). I have identified several color contrast violations in the site's navigation and content areas that fail WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards, and I have fixes ready locally. Aira has kindly offered to share her Hugo migration branch tomorrow so I can align my contrast fixes with the new site-src/static/css/ structure rather than patching the old HTML directly. Before I proceed with any changes, I wanted to check with you: 1. Do you have any guidance or preferences on how WCAG contrast fixes should be applied within the migration workflow? 2. Should I create a new Jira ticket for the accessibility fixes and link it to FINERACT-2484, or would you prefer a different approach? 3. Is there anything specific you would like me to focus on or avoid while working in this area? I want to make sure my contribution is well-coordinated with your review process and does not conflict with ongoing migration work. Thank you for your time — I look forward to your guidance. Best regards, Ali Mahmood Rana
