Hello Fineract Community, I am Shashiranjan Singh, a Computer Science student. I am interested in contributing to Apache Fineract for GSoC 2026, specifically the “Frontend Application MVP (POC)” idea listed on the Apache GSoC Ideas page.
I have experience working with MERN stack, Next.js, and TypeScript, and I have previously contributed to Apache Airflow. I am comfortable working with REST APIs, authentication flows, and cloud deployment. I have started exploring the Fineract repository and understand that it provides a REST-based backend. I would like to begin contributing and also better understand the expectations for the Frontend MVP idea. I have a few questions: 1. Is there a preferred frontend stack (React, Angular, etc.) for this MVP? 2. Is the expectation to build a standalone SPA consuming Fineract REST APIs? 3. Are there any existing UI mockups or design guidelines to follow? I am currently setting up the project locally and would appreciate guidance on issues or changes I can start with.
