Dear Apache Fineract Community, My name is Neha Jha, and I am a third-year undergraduate student from India. I am very interested in contributing to Apache Fineract for GSoC 2026.
I have experience working with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Spring Security, and MySQL. I have built backend APIs and secured them using Spring Security. I have started exploring the Fineract repository and reviewing the fineract-loan-origination module to understand the project structure and request flow. I am particularly interested in the idea of building a Self-Service API component that connects to Fineract and would love to understand how it could integrate with the existing architecture and security layer. I would appreciate guidance on how I can begin contributing and if there are any beginner-friendly issues or areas I should focus on first. Thank you for your time.
