I'll answer for Alex while he's travelingŠ Basically, FlexJS is a new framework for MXML/ActionScript so it can be compiled into SWFs and JavaScript. Alex is creating a new framework of classes and UI components that are very lightweight and work well in either platform.
The project is in its infancy and I'm helping Alex write new components.
