You should also have a look at StageXL <http://www.stagexl.org/> (formerly
known as DartFlash), since Dart compiles to JavaScript.
It is based on the Flash DisplayList, but not an exact implementation of
the Flash API.
For JooFlash, I sometimes had a glance at their code, and their project is
still active.
